The purpose of the sociology liaisons is to facilitate
student-faculty interaction and to serve as links between
students and professors. Liaisons plan departmental events,
such as lunches, retreats, lectures, and help coordinate
trips to local conferences and visits from guests outside
the area. There are typically three or four sociology
liaisons who are juniors and seniors. Faculty members
welcome suggestions and volunteers for the liaison positions
and will solicit requests during the spring semester for the
following academic year.
